Harikrishna Punaroor was instrumental in the distribution of government land in Kilpady village to about 500 homeless people and RTC of every land was done by him at his cost. He personally gave financial aid of Rs. 5000 to hundred families with the aspiration of constructing the house. An amount of Rs. 25000 was provided to 25 families to help in building their own house. Metal roads were constructed by his influence in Kilpady village.

About 1650 families in Lingappayyakadu obtained government land by the efforts of Harikrishna Punaroor. He also provided financial help for them to construct houses. About 300 families in Kerekadu were given government land to construct houses. He financially helped for the construction of toilets for 100 poor families in Kinnigoli.
He also provided financial help and construction materials to build the houses to about more than 600 families who became homeless due to heavy floods in 1985. Tsunami affected ten families were also helped by him. During natural calamities, he gave immediate financial help of Rs. 500 to about thousand victims.
